Digital Access for Schools
Across Sub-Saharan Africa, the average public school has fewer than 1 computer for every 50 students. Most rural schools have none. We systematically close this gap through our hardware donation program.
We collect used computers from corporations, universities, and individuals in urban centres and diaspora networks. Our certified technicians refurbish and test each machine. Schools receive fully functional computers, peripherals, and basic connectivity support — at zero cost to the school. Each deployment is needs-assessed, geotagged, and monitored for 12 months post-installation to ensure the equipment remains functional and used.
STEM & Digital Literacy Training
Technology without competence is furniture. Our training program targets both students and teachers, building a self-sustaining cycle of digital learning within each school. For Teachers: A 40-hour certified curriculum covering computer basics, educational software, and how to integrate digital tools into existing lesson plans. Teachers who complete the program become certified TECH FOR AFRIKA Digital Educators. For Students: Age-adapted modules covering digital literacy (Grades 4–6), foundational coding (Grades 7–9), and STEM project-based learning (Grades 10–12). Delivered in French, English, or local languages where resources are available.
Responsible E-Waste Management
Africa is increasingly becoming a dumping ground for the world’s electronic waste. Informal recycling of e-waste releases toxic chemicals into soil and groundwater, disproportionately harming the poorest communities. We operate certified collection points in Douala and Yaoundé where individuals and businesses can drop off obsolete electronics. Machines that can be refurbished enter our school donation pipeline. Machines that cannot are sent to certified recyclers with full chain-of-custody documentation. This program generates revenue that partially funds our school programs while protecting communities from toxic waste — a circular economy model for digital inclusion.
Tech For Afrika TalksPanel Discussions & Tech Advocacy
“Africa is innovating. We’re talking about it.”There was previously no structured monthly event dedicated to tech and innovation in Cameroon. TECH FOR AFRIKA TALKS fills this gap: a monthly panel discussion bringing together entrepreneurs, decision-makers, institutions, and investors to address key African technological issues—AI, Fintech, AgriTech, EdTech, Cybersecurity, and Green Tech. Each edition features a keynote address, an expert panel, and pitches from young startups—providing a platform for the generation currently being shaped by our school systems. This is where partnerships are forged with telecom operators, banks, and institutions—partnerships that, in turn, support equipping our schools and training our teachers.
